This post will focus on a topic which I'm sure many of you will be very familiar with on Club Penguin...
Bots.
But before I tell you about all that, let me show you some of the highlights from the Club Penguin United Medieval Quest from yesterday!
I almost didn't attend this event as I'd forgotten, and was reminded by someone five minutes before it started! (Thank you to whoever reminded me, I can't remember who it was. Sorry!) There were two teams; Knights and Princesses, and Dragons. I decided to be a Knight and quickly prepared my costume...
However, we were soon attacked by an intruding team of bots, which is not unheard of in past community events. However, this was a large group and they were relentless and simply would not leave us alone, no matter what we tried.
The Club Penguin United Team decided to move the event to a different server - Sparkly. They privately announced this by DM in case the bot owner happened to be on Twitter. Initially, this seemed to solve the problem, and the party resumed.
However, the UN's Declaration of Penguin Rights states that all penguins are innocent until proven guilty!
We then took refuge in the EPF Room and discussed the various options we had.
We made another attempt to escape the bots and relocated in the Plaza...
But yet again this escape was in vain...
Once we'd lost the bots again, we moved to the forest and were greeted by a well known Aussie penguin friend of mine, Rosytilly!
We had some fun hanging out at the Cove with Echo006 the purple dragon, Leeasteroid the legendary wizard, Babycrier the winged knight and Princeslily the...princess...Duh!
It was then time for some good ol' fashioned Card Jitsu Fire...
And of course, a Medieval Squad Selfie! I won't even bother with the cringey hashtags...
We then waddled (or teleported) over to the Iceberg, where we found a rather abnormally large group of penguins...
And it didn't take us long to realise that they were bots...
I'd like to urge you all to be on the lookout for a penguin named Ha Ha 30, as this was not the first time I'd encountered him controlling bots recently. Bots have increasingly become a significant problem with Club Penguin in recent times, particularly on populated servers such as Blizzard, but now they are even targeting the less populated servers such as Marshmallow and Zipline as well. I really hope that the Club Penguin Team does whatever they can to ensure that this doesn't happen in the future.
I'd also like to say directly to whoever decided to ruin our fun and other bot owners that may be reading this post; you simply need to grow up, be more mature and find something else to do that doesn't annoy or ruin the experiences of other Club Penguin players. If you think that you're cool in any way by doing this, you're NOT.
Apologies for such a negative post guys, I just really needed to get this off my chest.
Hopefully the next Club Penguin United event will not be ruined by bots as it is my understanding that the date and server will not be publicly announced on Twitter.
Until then,
Waddle On!
Tripplem
